SAND
Imperial length (ft) x width (ft) x depth ( in) / 265 = tonnes + waste
Metric length (m) x width (m) x depth ( m) x1.6 = tonnes + waste

GRAVEL
Imperial length (ft) x width (ft) x depth ( in) / 250 = tonnes + waste
Metric length (m) x width (m) x depth ( m) x1.7 = tonnes + waste

PLASTERING
One tonne of sand plasters approximately 30 sq m of wall 20mm thick

BRICK & BLOCK LAYING
One tonne of sand will lay approximately
1000 x 4.5 x 9 x 3 inch Bricks
600 x 4 x 18 x 9 inch Solid Blocks
400 x 6 x 18 x 9 inch Solid Blocks
250 x 9 x 18 x 9 inch Solid Blocks

Nominal Mix
